In a thrilling turn of events, JFT Esports' Oceanic Valorant team has emerged victorious in the Challengers League Oceania: Stage 2, securing their place in the highly anticipated Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2024 Pacific: Ascension in Japan. This remarkable achievement came as a surprise to many, as analysts, casters, and the betting markets heavily favoured four other teams—Bobo, FocusGG, Arena Internet Cafe (AIC), and JiJieHao—over JFT.

JFT's journey to this victory was anything but smooth. In the Swiss Group Stage, the team was still looking to solidify their roster after losing their in-game leader (IGL), Gloom, who decided to retire after Split 1. With several members of Funcrew temporarily banned, JFT trialled ANDY from that roster, and swapped between players such as kiss and murza. By the end of the group stage, they decided to replace longstanding member Vina with Andy, and slot both kiss and murza into the starting roster. Despite these challenges, JFT finished the group stage with a record of 3-2 after suffering 1-2 losses to FocusGG and iPGN.

In the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals, JFT faced Bobo, securing a narrow 2-1 victory. Their momentum continued in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, where they triumphed over FocusGG with another 2-1 win. The Upper Bracket Finals saw JFT up against the second-seeded Arena Internet Cafe (AIC), where they delivered a stunning 2-0 victory, solidifying their place in the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals, a best-of-five series, saw JFT Esports face off against AIC once more. With the stakes higher than ever, JFT showcased their skill and strategy, ultimately clinching the championship with a 3-1 victory. This win not only crowned them as the Challengers League Oceania: Stage 2 champions but also earned them a coveted spot in the VCT 2024 Pacific: Ascension, where they will compete against some of the best teams from the Asia-Pacific regions.

JFT Esports' unexpected triumph is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and ability to rise to the occasion. As they prepare for the next stage of their journey in Japan, fans and analysts alike will be eagerly watching to see how this underdog team continues to make waves in the Valorant competitive scene.
